Other than a placement agency, what other services does Carelink International provide?
Carelink International is a placement agency that also provides an online service to employers and caregivers who want to advertise their requirements and may submit their profiles and resumes on the internet.
How can Carelink assist me in finding an employer or a caregiver?
We have affiliate training facilities in Canada and the Philippines. (Visit www.e-delamar.com/delamarinstitute. We are certain to find a caregiver who meets the needs of your family. Our caregivers have been specially trained. Only those applicants who meet our high standards are invited to submit their bio data on our online service. Carelink also advertises within Canada for both employers and caregivers.
Why go through a placement agency?
There are many reasons for using a professional agency. One is convenience. We have a database of available skilled caregivers and nannies. Second is we can save you time, worry and the stress of finding and screening of applicants. And third, we offer you professional advise in your selection.
How much do caregivers/nannies paid?
Depending on the skills, experience and qualifications, salary ranges from $1,000 to $2,000 Canadian dollars per month. The employer is responsible for remitting payroll source deductions such as CPP, Employment Insurance and taxes.
How long does it take to process foreign caregivers?
After the job offer is validated by the Human Resources Development Canada, the application can take from two to four months depending on the country that the work authorization papers are being processed. For Philippine caregivers, it may take six to eight months.
Where do our caregivers come from?
Majority of our caregivers come from the Philippines and Hongkong. We also have caregivers from other parts of the world - Taiwan, Singapore, East Europe and Canada.
How can I get more information or communicate with a caregiver or employer whom I'm interested in?
All correspondence (email, written, verbal) is made through Carelink until each party agrees to work together. Carelink will request an agreement between employer and caregiver. Our agency fees must then be paid in full prior to the release of contact information such as telephone number and address information.
